PROGRAMS
Preschool Program – Ages 2-3 (3, 4, or 5 days/week)
Our Preschool program presents age-appropriate activities that promote problem solving, language skills, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and general classroom immersion. Activities specifically fall into practical life, sensorial, art, imaginative play, and scientific exploration subject areas. Class sizes range from six to twelve students with two instructors. Students do not need to be potty trained to attend this program.
Pre-K Program – Ages 3-6 (4 or 5 days/week)
Our Pre-K program offers a Montessori environment designed to allow each student to learn at their own pace guided and supported by our faculty. Activities designed for our pre-K program promote problem solving, language, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, independence, and responsibility. Curricula developed for this program fall into practical life, sensorial, scientific exploration, handwriting, art, geography, math, and language subject areas. Class sizes range from six to twelve students with one to two instructors.
Kindergarten Program – Ages 5-6 or when ready (5 days/week)
Our Kindergarten program offers an advanced learning environment for our pre-K graduates. Beyond traditional Montessori activities, we offer tool-skill based activities allowing students to practice and develop fine-motor skills. Students practice reading, writing, math, science, and art in addition to using activities that promote problem solving, language, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, independence, and responsibility.
Program Hours
Morning Program - 8:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Extended Day - 8:45 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Full Day - 7:45 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Curriculum
Sensorial Exploration:
Employing a phenomenological approach, we engage the senses! Our classroom activities help children distinguish various shapes, colors, textures, and sounds, fostering keen observational skills and cognitive growth!
Practical Life Skills:
Essential life skills are at the heart of our curriculum. Children learn pratical tasks like pouring, tying, and sweeping which refine motor skills while also instilling a sense of independence and focus.
Language Development:
Through storytelling, phonics, and interactive activities, we build a strong foundation in language. Our approach encourages early reading and writing skills, vocabulary enhancement, and effective communication.
Mathematics Basics:
We make math fun and accessible! Our hands-on materials aids in understanding numbers, basic addition, fostering a genuine interest in math concepts.
Cultural Awareness:
Our curriculum introduces students to diverse cultures, geography, and basic sciense. This broadens students' understanding of the world and nutures curiosity and respect for diversity.
Art and Creativity:
Creativity is limitless in our classrooms! Students express themselves through painting, drawing, and crafting emphasizing the joy of creation and imagination.
Physical Development:
Active play is crucial. We incorporate dance, movement, and coordination activities to enhance physical well-being and motor skills
Social and Emotional Growth:
Collaborative play and guided interactions help develop empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution skills.
Independence and Responsibility:
Personal responsibility is encouraged as children learn to care for themselves, their environment, and their belongings, fostering respect and self-reliance.
Individualized Learning:
Our teachers are keen observers, tailoring activities to each child's pace and interests, promoting self-motivation and a lifelong love of learning.
